McKay Building
1886
This piece was originally part of a first floor pilaster in a central niche with arched opening. It is flanked on each side with a bracket-shaped ornament, with molded edges at top and bottom of main casting. The top corner is missing. The central ornament is a separate casting in the shape of a tassel drop with scalloped motif mount. Front and sides are painted with multiple layers, original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone.
