Abington Building
1886
This ornament was originally installed on the Abington Building’s front façade, second, third or fourth floors. It has a hollow console with rectilinear ornamented bracket at each side, with a shield- shaped laureate and ball motif ornament bolted at center. Originally, the building had nine of this style ornament; this is the only known complete one. Front and sides are painted with multiple layers, original finish appears to be sand texturized to simulate beige sandstone.
