On the left side, the nearest structure is the Church Building. The following block has the Terwilliger Building, the Porter & Wiegand Building, the Alisky & Hegele Building, and then the tower of the Odd Fellows' Temple is just visible. To the right is the Smith Building, though its cupola is not visible.
The 1878 view looking north from Morrison shows the same view created as though the artist were half a block further north. An 1883 view shows the same block coming from the opposite direction.
