Simon Building / Sinnott House
Built 1883
105 NW Third Avenue
Architect: Unknown
Cast-Iron Manufacturer: Honeyman's City Foundry (attributed)
Built for $24,000 by F. B. Simon, this building was similar to dozens of buildings in the 1880s. While restrained in many ways in its detail, of note are the entrance columns with their pilaster capitals with human faces repeated throughout. To the immediate north is the façade of another brick building, constructed by Simon in 1892. Following a fire in the 1970s, that front façade was preserved and today fronts a parking lot.
